1. Learn New Words
Teach your child these words before or while colouring:

• moon
• star/stars
• night
• dark
• sky
• shine/shining
• sleepy/sleep
• big/small star

2. Follow Colour Instructions
Say the colours in English as you colour:

• Colour the moon ■  light grey.
• Colour the stars ■ yellow.
• Colour the sky ■ dark blue or ■ purple.
• Colour Hugo the owl ■ orange.

3. Talk About the Picture
Ask questions in English:

• What can you see in the sky?
• Is it day or night?
• What colour is the moon?
• Can you count the stars in English?

4. Try a Sentence
Help your child say or write:

• “Hugo is under the moon.”
• “The stars are shining.”

5. Play a Game (with Phonics Tip)

• What starts with the sound /s/
• What starts with the sound /m/
• What begins with the sound /o/
• Who starts with the sound /h/
